Melissa began her career as an applied physics technologist specializing in non-destructive testing of materials (NDT). She has extensive experience as a project and product development manager. Over the years, she transitioned to operations management and now has over fifteen years of diverse experience managing multisite, multidisciplinary organizations within companies undergoing constant evolution.
Melissa also holds a master’s degree in business administration for executives (EMBA) from UQÀM. She is dedicated, determined, and recognized for her excellent analytical and synthesis skills. She is passionate about human resources management and organizational development. Her approach is based on listening, transparency with visionary and participatory leadership. She firmly believes that fostering creativity and knowledge sharing is the key to a company’s success, promoting collaboration and creating a healthy and stimulating work environment.
Founder of LR Tech and Chairman of the Board, Luc amassed 18 years of experience prior to LR Tech while working at ABB (formerly Bomem) as a Product Manager. Luc was involved in various research programs related to atmospheric spectroscopy. He accumulated expertise in infrared remote detection instrumentation, more specifically in the field of spectroradiometry.
Over the years, LR Tech has developed a product portfolio dedicated to atmospheric sounding and GHG profiles, remote detection applications for defense as well as for various environmental and industrial monitoring applications.
For the last 17 years, Luc has managed LR Tech’s growth and success and helped build the company’s reputation and its recognized expertise in the worldwide IR remote sensing community.
Charles Reny, CPA, CA has over 25 years of finance and management experience in leadership roles serving large, growing, global technology companies. He held, in particular, the position of Vice-President, Finance and Administration (CFO) at Creaform for 10 years in addition to assisting with the sale of the company to Ametek, an American company with sales of $5.2 billion USD and member of the S&P 500 Index.
Garry Vail graduated in Electrical Engineering from the University of Alberta in Edmonton (1970), and co-founded Bomem Inc. in September 1973. Under his guidance (until April 2002), Bomem has grown to experience annual sales of $50 million.
Most recently, he chaired the Board of Directors of the Réseau Photonique du Québec and the Centre de Robotique et de Vision. He was a member of the Board of Directors of the Institut National d'Optique.
In terms of community service, he manages the Parc Industriel du Moulin and he mentors entrepreneurs through his work with the SAGE group.
Before founding Bomem, Garry worked at the Valcartier Research Centre for Defense.
